Dr. Courtney Hinton, a Board-Certified Family Physician, is the Founder and CEO of TheSnatchBack, LLC. The mission of this organization is to provide the pathway to healing for historically marginalized birthing people recovering from premature birth and the NICU. As a black NICU mom, Dr. Hinton is able to use her medical expertise and lived experiences to provide resources, guidance, and support to people finding their way both during and after navigating the NICU. Dr. Hinton received her Bachelor of Science degree from Howard University in Washington, DC and Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. While completing her medical degree, Dr. Hinton also pursued and successfully completed a Master of Business Administration degree at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA. To round out her education, she completed her residency training in family medicine at Crozer-Keystone Family Medicine Residency Program in Delaware County, PA in 2017 before moving to North Carolina. While in residency training, Dr. Hinton was selected to be in the inaugural class of the “Family Medicine Leads Emerging Leadership Institute”, a program to breed future leaders organized by the American Academy of Family Medicine (AAFP) Foundation.
