Professor Zheng (Sophia) Tang is a Chair in Law and Commerce at the Newcastle University (UK) . Professor Tang is specialised in international commercial dispute resolution, transnational consumer law, transnational e-commerce and technology law, and Chinese law and doing business in China, in which she has published extensively. Professor Tang is an editor of conflictoflaws.net, the leading and most influential blog in conflict of laws which was ranked 33 of the top 100 UK law blogs in 2017. She is also a member of the advisory board of Journal of Private International Law and an editor of the Chinese Journal of Comparative Law. She is one of the authors of Cheshire, North and Fawcett: Private International Law (15th ed), the leading text in this field. She serves as an expert for the European Commission DG Justice in the Justice programme and Horizon 2020, and for the National Science Centre in Poland.

At 28, Christian Raymer served nearly 11 years for the Trauma Intervention Program (TIP) of Southern Nevada, Inc. In his most recent role as Director of Development, he was instrumental in large-scale projects and overseeing the public relations, government relations, and community engagement for an emergency response non-profit organization. The organization worked with police, fire, and medical personnel to respond to scenes of sudden or unexpected death to provide emotional and practical support to family and friends during the death investigation process. Starting out as a volunteer in 2008, Christian realized quickly the passion he had for the emergency work and has continued his passion by joining TIP staff in 2009. Previous experience has put Christian in many roles with TIP including Crisis Team Manager, overseeing the team of seventy volunteers and coordinating the day-to-day operations. Christian has personally responded to hundreds of scenes in Las Vegas and has dealt with many high-profile cases. Christian is passionate about helping those in grief, understanding loss, and mental health awareness. Christian was a crucial part of the response to the Las Vegas Mass Shooting in October 2017. He single-handedly instructed the “care response” of over 25 volunteers while the shooting was still occurring. He remained on as an incident commander and begin providing hands-on support to grieving families. Having studied under some of the most well-known grief experts such as TIP Founder, Wayne Fortin, Emilio Parga, and Dr. Alan Wolfelt, Christian strives to keep up with the latest policies and procedures affecting the organization and the industry as a whole. Christian has trained hundreds of first responders in Clark County in Emotional First Aid and crisis support skills; including nurses, firefighters, police officers, and hospital staff.
