I’m Frank Montgomery, over the last 30 odd years, I have worked in law enforcement, fire services, food service, hospitality, travel, IT, and more. All are a form of service to me, and require me to see the world around me and the people in it. Recently I have completed two books, both are in the process of being made ready for publication, and I believe them both to be centered on topics that are crucial to understanding the world around us. I also believe that being able to have a conversation when you vehemently disagree is key to ensuring the world doesn't burn with us on it. Disagreements happen every day, from pizza toppings to politics, no two people will agree on everything, and often won't agree on most things in their lives. Understanding that disagreeing is not hate or fear, but simply disagreeing, allows the conversation to happen and each person to learn from the other.

I didn’t plan to become a dog rehabilitation specialist. I have a history degree and a background in marketing, publishing, news, venture capital, and oil and gas — I built a career in communication and business development and never imagined this would be my path. But at the lowest point of my life, when I didn’t want to live anymore, I got Kenny. I loved him more than I loved myself, so I got out of bed to meet his needs — and in caring for him, I slowly started healing. A graduate of UCLA, Steve Snyder lives in Seal Beach, California. In 2009, he retired from Vision Service Plan (VSP) after a 36-year career working in sales and sales management. He then began his quest to learn more about the World War II experiences of his father, pilot Howard Snyder, and the crew of the B-17 Susan Ruth. It became his passion, and after 4 ½ years of dedicated research, resulted in his book, SHOT DOWN, which has received 25 book awards.
