I’m a people manager, I'm a motivator, I'm hands-on experienced in sales and building top-performing teams.
I began my career in sales as an individual contributor with Robert Half International, Inc. (NYSE: RHI) tasked with delivering against a sales / production quota. As an early-career sales professional, I was fortunate to have joined an organization that had a recipe (as many do) designed to facilitate a quick ramp and deliver production. The recipe was detailed. High-volume activity, discipline and adherence to the the recipe would culminate in high-performance. Leadership knows based on research, data and history that if you show up and perform the recipe as an individual contributor, you will succeed – and I did. By the fall of 2000, my performance as a sales rep had outpaced my peers and I was asked to step into a people management role. Over a 10-year career, my scope of influence grew to overseeing multiple teams, offices and disciplines within the professional services sales and delivery setting.
After RHI, I moved to Randstad, Inc (NYSE: RAND.AS) as the Managing Director for Michigan. As my career grew over the years, I ended up managing larger teams and eventually overseeing other people managers in multiple locations. I’ve been asked to coach and develop managers who were earlier in their careers than myself and I’ve been selected to participate in management training programs both corporate and externally facilitated.
At RHI, I had led sales training for 8 regional offices and was selected to go through the Crestcom "Bullet Proof Manager" certification in 2009. At Randstad, I and facilitated national new-hire training in collaboration with a team of executives. Over 7 years from 2010 through 2016, we applied this training to hundreds of new hires and adapted the training to include new methods and improve audience participation.
In 2016, I joined Amazon (NYSE: AMZN) to stand-up a new sales team in Detroit, MI - the first remote office for the AmazonBusiness Seller Development organization. Again, I was able to build a team that included top-talent and delivered exponential growth. On the heels of this success, I wrote, coordinated and delivered the first-ever New-Hire Boot Camp training for the AB Seller Development team in Q12019. In Q12020, I partnered with 2 other sales leaders to develop and present the Challenger Sales Method to over 200 sales professionals from around the world at the annual Sales Kick Off Event in February. In 2021, I stepped in as the single-threaded leader for the entire US 3P SKO event and hosted!
