Stephen, deeply moved by the widespread devastation caused by the ongoing pandemic, has committed to establishing the Stephen Odzer COVID Relief Fund. This remarkable initiative strives to alleviate the hardships faced by countless individuals by focusing on a critical aspect of protection: the provision of masks to those in need. Understanding the pivotal role masks play in mitigating the transmission of COVID-19, particularly in nearby situations, the COVID Relief Fund is dedicated to raising funds to donate masks. Supported by scientific evidence from Hopkins Medicine, it is proven that consistent mask usage significantly reduces the number of COVID-19 cases, even in the long run. Additional details about this special fund will soon be available, enabling individuals to contribute to this noble cause. Charles Davis began his career as a physical education professor on the college level. During that time, he was a leading advocate for students majoring in education. His objective for the students was to learn how to express themselves through body movement and exercise. While teaching on the college level, he became a college football coach, where he held the position for four years. Charles was a defensive coordinator and responsible for the overall strength and conditioning of the students. He served as the strength and conditioning supervisor and was responsible for comprehensive sports instruction, strength conditioning, and physical development. Charles received his BS in secondary education from McKendree University and his MA in special education at Grand Canyon University, where he studied with leading researchers in special education advancement. His research interests are rooted in the social conversation of the struggle of growing up in impoverished environments overrun with crime, drugs, and the lack of motivation to focus on education. Therefore, in viewing the effects on children living in those circumstances and how the probability of becoming a product of one’s environment is substantial without well-rounded instruction and influence. He also explored the historical foundations of literacy development among African American boys on the high school level to understand how they can use words and writing as positive expression. Charles is the author of the book Without Apology. This book takes a raw and in-depth look at many of his traumatic childhood experiences. In detailing events, his thoughts at the time, and enlightening the importance of exceptional instruction by his mentors, he establishes tools for both the teacher and the student. While working at the college level, Charles created the New Millennium Men group. This group examined the issues that young African American boys faced while in the K-12 educational system. Based on the research and information gathered during his time with the group Charles became interested in taking a comprehensive look into the system that they had determined was too often overlooked. Dr. Gholdy Muhammad, one of the leading researchers in the country on literacy, invited him to speak at her middle school, which started his pursuit of educational change. Charles began to speak at middle and high schools, hoping to help adolescent learners find their turning points and overcome the challenge of becoming the product of their environments. Charles is the founder of The Charles Davis Group. The company specializes in all thing’s education. Charles travels throughout the U.S. speaking to educators on all levels. At present, he is pursuing his doctoral degree in leadership and philosophy. Additionally, Charles is passionate about closing the gap in the percentage of African American male teachers. Jerry David and his wife Susan have been married for 48 years and have raised two children, now with children of their own. Having been in ministry most of his adult life, and founding and pastoring a church in Lincoln Nebraska 32 years ago, he now finds himself strengthening and encouraging other leaders and influencers, educators, and most importantly - parents, in the USA as well as many other nations. Living, as we all do, in an ever-shifting culture and evolving paradigm, the stresses and challenges facing parents, educators, and leaders is now reaching a point of critical mass. Family units coming apart, long-time values and principles being undermined at every level, along with a decreasing lack of confidence in our ability to address these changes, makes the message of Dr. Jerry David even more relevant and needed in this hour. His vast pastoral experience along with his own upbringing and parenting helps him to be uniquely qualified to approach families and educators with a simple but effective commonsense approach to basic principles that must be re-visited and re-established in our families if we’re to see the home, the family and the nation survive. You will enjoy his humor, his stories, and his inspiration. You will leave with a new and renewed vision to establish a legacy and heritage for yourself that ultimately brings fulfillment to each life and home. More than anything, he will use commonsense to return you to commonsense in your approach to parenting and leading the next generation.
