Let’s Converse (c) 2017 was born out of the need for healing in our community. One of the first steps to healing is talking about the problem. Hence the mantra “Talk is Valuable.” Voice is powerful and can be life-changing. Conversation is also necessary in building healthy relationships, be it with oneself, others in your life, or God. We often avoid approaching meaningful and necessary topics of discussion because it is difficult to be vulnerable. Nadine G., owner of Let’s Converse, created this company to be a conduit of safe dialogue that would inspire you to tell your stories, share your perspectives, and move towards healing. It provides a multitude of services, all promoting the same goal, “conversation.” Nadine G., counselor, motivational speaker,author was born in Brooklyn, New York. She pursued her undergraduate degree at Syracuse University and received her Master’s degree from New York University. Nadine G. is of the first generation in her family to attend college. Nadine G. attributes her love of learning and of sharing knowledge to her great-grandmother, daughter of sharecroppers who only received a 4th-grade education. Ever since she was a child, Nadine G. has loved to write. She definitely was a natural creative, but this gift became her outlet when the things in her life were challenging. Nadine G. remembers sequestering her voice and suffering in silence and how the power of the pen helped her heal and find her voice. As a teenager she knew her life’s work would be to help others who felt like her, unseen and unheard. She wanted her life’s work to impact others. Since 2005, Nadine G. has counseled countless adults and young people as an certified as a Licenced Clinical Social Work in NYC. In 2010, she released her first book of poetry, Enterludes, with her goal as a writer being to spark necessary conversations. Since then, she has continued to write and is branching into the world of motivational speaking and healing conferences.

Raised on a rice farm in the Arkansas Delta I know a little about hard work and sacrifice. Reared by my grandparents until I was 10 years old, then I moved to stay with my mother, stepfather, and four other siblings in KCMO. Talk about change. I went to an inner-city school until I was in the 11th grade. Then I moved again. This time it was to leave with my father, stepmother, and two younger brothers. Back to the country I go! After completing my senior, I was offered a scholarship to play football. Going to college I majored in business. I figured if I was going to the NFL I needed to be able to manage my money and market myself. Suffering a concussion the knock me out for three hours my sophomore year, I decided I was going to be the hammer and not the nail. After, completion of my fours years in college I entered the NFL draft and went to seven different tryouts. I tried out for all 32 NFL teams. Then the 2011 NFL lockout hit. I was unsigned and miserable. I was forced to transition. I would always ask myself, "Who are your outside of that jersey?" I completed my master's degree and found inspiration in career development. This work motivates me because people are in the process of self-discovery something I can relate to on a personal level. I know what it is like when plan A doesn't work out. I know the importance of having multiple plans and staying open minded. All that to say, I'm here to help others accomplish their goals.
