Placed into foster care and then adopted at the age of 5, to only be back in foster care age 9 and move in with his aunt and uncle all before starting at high school. Being diagnosed at an early age with autism, for this diagnosis to disappear and not being given support, until a re-diagnosis at age 10. Being told that I was never going to get far in life, and school asking me not to turn up when Ofsted arrive. Life has been unusual, I can say that for certain. Upon learning about autism, I also learnt several coping strategies. My meltdowns decreased, and I started breaking all sorts of barriers. I started doing talks for parents when I was 15, I pushed myself to go to a college of my choice. I saved up to go to New Zealand by myself for a few weeks. Now I'm the Co-Chairman for the Autism Partnership Board for Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. I'm a school governor. I have even been a radio DJ when needed, and show no signs of stopping.
