Eric is an emergency services instructor, speaker, and subject matter specialist in basic and advanced vehicle extrication and farm/agricultural equipment rescue training. He has presented lectures and conducted hands-on training in both national and international venues. He conducts hundreds of hours of training each year. In the vehicle rescue arena, Eric takes particular interest in vehicle anatomy, crash dynamics, and heavy advanced operations, especially from the patient-care perspective. He also spends considerable time in trying and working with new disentanglement and extrication techniques. He has cultivated vehicle extrication contacts throughout North America and around the world and regularly shares information, ideas, and concerns with colleagues around the world to assist in the development of new approaches to vehicle rescue and extrication. In the specialized arena of farm and agricultural rescue, even though Eric is an instructor, he himself, is not a farmer. He grew up in and lives in a rural community, with many close friends who are active in production agriculture. Through his friends he has gained an understanding of farming and the farm culture, and coupled with his emergency services experience, he is able to present the programs from “both sides of the fence”. Eric firmly believes that to be truly good at providing emergency services in an agricultural area, one must understand the farm environment and have an understanding of how emergencies occur and the impact that these events have on the families and community. From the farm rescue perspective, he delivers his programs in a manner that creates an arena for providers to interact and learn about their local agricultural community, and what they can do to promote farm safety in their area.

Michael Dubé was born and raised in Ontario, Canada. He has worked for 30+ years in various industries in the private and public sectors. From 1978 to 1990, Michael worked as a Second Nuclear Operator with Ontario Hydro (now Hydro One). From 1991 to 2008, Michael worked full time as a municipal structural firefighter with the City of Greater Sudbury, performed duties as an Infection Prevention Officer, Acting Captain, Incident Commander and Training Officer. He moved to the Office of The Ontario Fire Marshal in 2008 as a Program Specialist. After a busy study period in International Law, Marketing and Business my first work experiences at General Electric and JWT showed me I have a strong interest in technology and retail.
