Mindy Anne Henderson began life as a happy and healthy baby. At the age of 15 months, however, that all changed. She was diagnosed with a neuromuscular illness called Spinal Muscular Atrophy. Her parents were told she would never walk and that she would not live to be three. Mindy beat the odds, and despite spending life in a wheelchair, she now has on her list of credits: 1. A Bachelor’s and Master’s degree 2. A one-on-one battle fought and won with the government of the People’s Republic of China & a trip to one of the least wheelchair accessible countries on the planet to adopt her daughter 4. A successful career in software, leading teams of highly skilled professionals 5. Multiple singing appearances on national television 6. A CD recorded with George Strait’s guitar and bass players 7. A long list of public speaking credits, addressing thousands of volunteers of the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), MDA staff and corporate executives for companies such as 7-11, Acosta, 7-Up and ERA 8. A passion for making the impossible, possible. Through her early experiences as the Texas and, subsequently, Florida State Poster Child for the MDA, Mindy learned that she could make a special contribution to something meaningful. She believes that everything happens for a reason and that (at a minimum), if we can accept life’s challenges with grace, courage, openness and faith, we can find peace. With great passion, Mindy writes and speaks to audiences in hopes of inspiring, teaching and entertaining. Her greatest wish is to bring hope to others and to show others through her story, how rich their own lives truly are.

Today’s leaders are expected to deliver results in the face of constant change, limited clarity and mounting pressure. In these high-stakes environments, even the most experienced leaders default to reactive and protective behaviors—overthinking, over-functioning or overcompensating—in ways that stifle their teams, innovation and performance. These often unconscious habits reduce leadership capacity and drive unintended consequences across the organization: diminished trust, stalled innovation, lower engagement and reduced bottom lines. The problem isn’t leadership competence, it’s lack of awareness of what’s really driving our actions and decisions. Kim Meninger leverages psychological insight, business acumen and leadership experience to help leaders recognize and disrupt the internal triggers that limit their impact so they can operate with clarity, confidence and courage. She has lived this work, first as a leader inside high-demand tech environments like EMC and Monster, and now as a trusted coach to leaders at Amazon, Salesforce, Pfizer, Bain Capital and others. Kim’s approach to helping leaders navigate high-growth, high-change business landscapes goes beyond theory. It’s practical, actionable and designed to create lasting business value. When leaders learn to master the moment, they make better decisions, communicate more effectively and drive stronger results across the board.

Simon J Green aims to understand fear so that we can use it to overcome challenges. Born with rare genetic disease cystic fibrosis and subjected to emergency surgery when he was only a day old, this writer, producer and arts leader draws on a wealth of experience with pain, fear and unfortunate flatulence. Simon combines his personal journey, diversity activism, and an unconventional career in arts and marketing, with a cheeky sense of humour, to blow up our social fears and overcome personal and organisational challenges. His background in human-centred design thinking and facilitation means his audiences feel personal connections to universal themes. His decade producing video and media means he can bring all the audio visual splendour of a blockbuster movie to the smallest of stages. “I use fear to talk about bravery. Being brave in business, in art, in life, in whatever it is you do. More often than not, bravery is about taking risks and trying to do what everyone else isn’t. When you’ve nearly died as a child and run multiple companies in a volatile business like media, the downsides of risk seem trivial compared to the myriad successes it brings.” Book Simon if you want to discuss or understand creativity, digital & media, small business, innovation & entrepreneurship, or cystic fibrosis & disability issues. You can also find him in the Disability Leaders Speakers Bank and the annecto Speakers Bank.
