Jody Holland was born and raised in the Texas Panhandle, where he developed an early gift for taking complex ideas and making them simple — and for helping the people around him find their potential. He turned that gift into a career, earning a B.A. in Communications with a minor in English Literature and an M.S. in Psychology, and founding his company in 1999 with a single mission: to build leaders worth following. Over the past 25+ years, Jody has trained and done business in 14 countries and across the United States, working with organizations that range from the Fortune 50, Fortune 100, and Fortune 500 to fast-growing small businesses in nearly every industry. He has delivered more than 300 keynotes — in person and virtually — trained over 250,000 leaders, and authored 23 books, along with co-authoring more than 30 training programs on leadership, supervision, management, sales, and service. His work is built on one idea that reframes how organizations think about their people: employees don't quit companies, they quit people. Roughly 81% of turnover traces back to an employee's direct supervisor — which means the most expensive problem most organizations face isn't in the budget, it's in their leadership. The encouraging part is that leadership is a skill, and skills can be taught. That belief powers Jody's signature framework, The 4 Roles of a Leader — Connector, Corrector, Visionary, and Transformer — and a body of programs built to produce measurable gains in retention, engagement, performance, and profit. On stage, Jody is known for holding an audience's attention from the first minute to the last — earning the laugh, then earning the notebook. A certified face reading practitioner, he reads the room in real time and adjusts to the energy in front of him, so audiences don't just leave inspired; they leave with a practical playbook they can use Monday morning. He has served as executive coach to more than 100 senior leaders, including over 20 CEOs, delivered the keynote at the Texas Governor's Small Business Conference, and worked with clients as varied as Lockheed Martin, Walmart, and Vanguard, along with banks, healthcare systems, associations, municipalities, universities, and family businesses. Jody holds a B.A. in Communications and an M.S. in Psychology, is a Certified Business Mediator for the State of Texas and a Certified Face Reading Practitioner, and was named Communicator of the Year at the Toastmasters Texas Conference. Whether on the main stage or in a breakout, his goal is the same: to help your people become leaders others actually want to follow — and to build something your team will still be talking about next quarter.

My story is not special or unique, and would likely make for a boring autobiography. I’m just like you, relatable in so many ways. The truth is that you’ve landed on my story for one reason: because I’ve found my calling, and I would love to help you find yours. My Brief Story – I’m a 20 year intense Business Traveler with a passion for: Sales, Leadership, Fitness, Family, and Football. I strive to help Special Needs Citizens and their Families live out their Joy and Purpose. And, most of all, I love walking through this life with Jesus by my side. The Longer Story – Through college, the majority of my decisions and motivation were driven by football. I didn’t ever really know much about the college that I selected, other than they had a good football team and would allow me to play. College is where I began to find myself, my strengths, and more importantly……….my future wife. We got married young, jumped into careers young, bought our first house young, and started a family young. And BAM!!! – that’s when our world got flipped upside down. When our daughter was somewhere between 12 and 36 months old (my wife and I disagree on her exact age) we discovered that she had special needs. This kicked off what would end up being the 5 most difficult years of our marriage. Somewhere during that time our oldest son was born……… a time in which memories and even pictures are limited due to the unfamiliarity of our new life. Overlay this with the fact that my career path had brought me to a place where I was traveling every week………..seriously, every week. Fast forward to now: Amy and I have been married for 17 years, Mabry is 18, Jack is 16, and Slater is 12. I still travel a lot for work, but we’ve learned as a family how to make that work for us. And the family knows that when they need me home, I’ll be home……….whether it’s for a day or a month. We have embraced our role as a Special Needs Family, and we understand what comes with that. It’s harder than any words can describe……….but we’re not here for a pity party. Amy and I believe that God has equipped us to be her parents, and Jack and Slater to be her brothers. But – we will not let this define us. We each have a purpose………a story to write………and a role to play. I hope that my story and experience can help you discover your what, where, why, and how.
