After graduating from a small town southern high school in 2002, I followed a group of friends aimlessly through my first years of college. After four years of seeking out an Electrical/Computer Engineering degree I realized... that was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I did some soul-searching for a year and reconnected with my love of art and creativity. I shifted my sights in 2006 towards becoming a graphic designer. After college, I found myself with a contract position as a project manager for a bidding website. After one year of successfully building the site from the ground up, I finished the project and was released to pursue other opportunities. I found myself working for a short period as a designer for a Nationwide Balloon Distributor, before being called back by my first employer to return as their Marketing Director. Over the next two years, I employed social media marketing strategies that grew the companies brand awareness across multiple channels. In an industry where digital marketing was incredibly challenging, I grew the companies revenue and digital sales exponentially, while helping to manage several different branches of the company. After two successful years, I left that company to become the Graphic Designer for one of the largest non-profits in the Pensacola area where I now work as the Communications Manager, managing a team of creative and marketing professionals to promote the organizations brand and drive it's goal to reach the community.
