I'm Dan Udale, I've struggled with my mental health since I was a teenager. My dad had a simple conversation with me when I was 18 that probably saved my life, since that day I've been going to therapy to learn more about myself and fix the insecurities of the past and PTSD, during the journey over the last 6 years I fell in love with the process of developing and improving my life through therapy and now I'm training to become a therapist! I'm an author, adventurer and speaker. For over ten years I've also struggled with anxiety and negative identity stories. In 2014, I set sail from England on a 10m yacht and sailed 20,000 miles to Panama and back - I'd never sailed before. Living and learning in the harsh Atlantic environment with only one other person on board completely reframed my perception of what I was capable of. It's all too easy to say, 'oh I couldn't do that' but I never questioned whether that was actually true. Until I was faced with crossing the Atlantic - a month long voyage with no outside communication. Since completing the three year voyage, I've signed two book deals and write extensively about how we can identify what's holding us back and work with these challenges, not against them.
